And, when I interviewed with [?] at that time [?] Interviewer-"What did you think of Dallas?' Mr. Garza-Pardon Interviewer-"What did you think of Dallas when you moved here and where did you settled?" Mr. Garza-Well, cause it was a new experience for me, I, it was close to San Antonio and, of couse, I moved close to Oak Cliff, I've been in Oak Cliff since its close to LJB and Grand Praire and, at that time, Oak Cliff had very few Hispanics. I remember moving into, cause I didn't wanted to rent. First home that I had was a two bedroom framed home that I had and when I told my neighbor where I was working and about my education, he was surprised, well you're fortunate, he said we don't have any people here with that type of background. One of the first things I did at that home was add 220 to 110 in my home. So, I bought all the equipment and then I went to the city to get a permit and when I confronted the city inspector and asked for a permit, he laughed at me, he said, "Are you a licensed electrician?" I said no, i'm a local engineer and he looked at me and said, "I don't believe you." [?] So, I went home to get my degree and he stood there with his mouth open and he gave me the [?] So, I installed the 220 in my home there and [?] we had our twins and the house wasn't big enough for our family, so I moved to a bigger home. Interviewer-"In the Oak Cliff area?" Mr. Garza-In the Oak Cliff area [?] While I [?] and you would have to follow that airplane for testing purposes. So, one of the places I had to follow the airplane was [?] for the catapult testing and thats how it was going to be for the next six months. Well, so, I just sold my home on Marlboro and took my family to [?] and when I came back [?] to Grand Praire. So, I looked for a home in Dallas and the home that we live now in [?] in Oakcliff in 1967.....
