Interviewer: So, what did you study at Prairie View? Johnson: Vocational Agriculture. Interviewer: Vocational Agriculture. Okay, and you said you were there for about two years and then you were drafted into the Army in 1946? Johnson: This was as a student. I was working on my undergraduate work. When I came back, I finished my degree. I got my degree in Vocational Agriculture and I went out to work. Started off as a county agent for a year, and I went to a high school as a Vocational Agriculture teacher in Bryan.
